Trust in Sport is a Community Interest Company (Non-Profit Making Organisation)

Trust in Sport was founded by sport professionals with a diverse range of skills in the sport and physical activity sector. The company was established to provide an alternative service delivery option for sport in light of the ever changing society we live in. Trust in Sport will ensure it adapts to meet the requirements of communication, individual needs, organisational aims as well as national trends and legislation.

The Board of Directors collectively and equally manage the services and projects the company is responsible for.

The organisation has been set up to carry out activities that benefit the community and in particular improving the quality of life through the provision of sport, physical activity and leadership to all sectors of the community.

Trust in Sport can work with all agencies within the public, private and voluntary sector to manage projects, deliver all aspects of sport, organise events and support organisations develop their sport & physical activity provision.

We believe in the role sport and physical activity can play in peoples lives and are committed to offering high quality throughout any project we undertake. We ensure all our projects are led by qualified and experienced staff. We have strong and established links with National Governing Bodies (NGB) of sport and always work within the recommendations and guidelines of each NGB.

We have experience of providing and developing sport to children, young people, families, older people and people with disabilities and additional needs.

Active Project: Sport Makers

Sport Makers are, quite simply, people who make sport happen.

Becoming a Sport Maker will give you the knowledge, information and connections to get better at making sport happen.

Active Project: PE in Special Schools

Trust in Sport are coordinating and delivering a Physical Education programme in Peak School, Chinley. The team are coaching a range of multi-sport, team games, cheerleading, dance and rebound therapy activities to students in Key Stages 1-5. A week long programme of activities in June 2012 ran inline with local Torch Relay celebrations and all students participated in a range of sports led by qualified coaches from the Trust in Sport team.

Active Project: 1:1 Sports Mentoring

We offer 1:1 support to children, young people and adults with disabilities and additional needs to access local sports activities. Current activities include Snowboarding, Water Activities, Cycling and Multi-skills.

Active Project: Club Developers

A club support package funded by Derbyshire County Council. We provide a dedicated support package to local sports clubs who have identified an area of support they require. These include: Marketing, Funding Applications, Membership Recruitment & Retention, Monitoring & Evaluation. This project is in partnership with Derbyshire Sport and High Peak Borough Council
